Conference Hours
UP 2024 will start on Monday 15 July, at 08:30 and will end with the last technical session on Friday, 19 July, at 12:30. For more details, refer to the schedule.

 

Photography

Attendance at, or participation in, Ultrafast Phenomena 2024 constitutes consent to the use and distribution by EPS of the attendee’s image for informational, publicity, promotional and/or reporting purposes in print or electronic communications media.
Video recording by participants and other attendees during the conference is not allowed. Photographs of copyrighted PowerPoint or other slides are for personal use only and are not to be reproduced or distributed.

Passport and visa requirements

Foreign visitors entering in Spain must be in possession of a valid ID or passport. EU nationals, in general, do not require a visa. Delegates from countries requiring visas should apply to the Spain consular offices or diplomatic missions in their home countries. Those who need a visa must satisfy the visa requirements of their local Spain Embassy/Consulate including

Invitation Letters for visa formalities
The invitation letter will only be sent to contributors who have submitted a contribution.
Contributors requesting an invitation letter are requested to:

  • Register to Ultrafast Phenomena-2024
  • Pre-fill the Invitation Letter and return it to the European Physical Society to be duly signed and returned to the recipients. When returning the invitation, indicate Ultrafast Phenomena-2024 invitation letter and the reference of your paper in the subject of your email.

Only email invitations will be sent. Upon a special request, an express air mail at extra cost can be done. This service will be invoiced 90,-€ to be paid in advance.

Currency

Cash machines (ATMs) in Barcelona
The best exchange rate is usually obtained by withdrawing Euros from the cash machine (ATM). Visa, Mastercards are generally accepted everywhere in Spain.

Electricity

Spain operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. There are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side.
